Just for the sake of record-keeping: Kavaun's first steps on his own were on August 8, 2009. Beata worked a long Saturday shift and that evening when she got home Kavaun decided to show us his skills. He took three steps that day. In the days since, he has gotten to five steps and a lot more independent standing.
Right now we are in the phase of walking with him holding his hand.
