The dining room is now the toy room
Sweet potatoes are a main course and not a side dish
The hose is used as a huge water gun in addition to watering the flowers
Kavaun's words become our words - potty, guitar man, and staw-e-berries
More later
This started as a place to write about my first summer at home with my son and has evolved into celebrating presence with my family. Baba means dad in Farsi and my children refer to me as baba. These are snapshots that honor my wife Beata and our family. These passages are not intended to duplicate my handwritten journal.

Ordinary Great
Sitting here with Kavaun. He is pressed up against my left side with his eyes carefully fixed on a favorite cartoon,"Word World". Let the record indicate that summer 2011 has been awesome. Awesomely ordinary with trips to the park, sprinkler fights, walks through the neighborhood, reading books, singing songs, laying around, blanket tents on rainy days and car rides searching for turtles and deer.
Most recently, we have had some good Ionia visits with trampoline jumping, more sprinkler fun and fights with Jude. Kavaun enjoys his cousin time and has fun with his aunts in Ionia.
A few more weeks and back to work.
