I hate the bright red lights
On the monitor, they bounce and dance without warning
If all six light up, that means screaming
One or two could mean just an adjustment while in his crib
When I drink my coffee and read, I want those lights off for at least an hour, if not two

This may come as a huge shock - but "peace and quiet" while you drink your coffee and read is an illusory concept, at least for the next 17 years or so :-) Hell, my kids still call and interrupt me when I'm drinking my coffee and reading! .....but the rewards of being a parent SOOOOOO outweigh the inconveniences!
